UPDATE: A new link is mentioned below which seems to be working properly in case you’re still waiting to watch this movie.

There are times when I get to hear from friends, colleagues and sometimes from my family that they haven’t heard about some of the most popular television shows across the globe. Examples like Game of Thrones (I’d give this to them, because I’m not really a huge fan of GOT myself), Top Gear (the original with Jeremy, James, and Richard, come on!), How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Dexter, Homeland, Mad Men, House of Cards, Better Call Saul and even The Simpsons and the Breaking Bad (seriously?).

There are fans, die-hard fans and they go to any limits to prove their love and their fandom and there is no better example than this.

Created by Lucas Stoll and Gaylor Morestin, Breaking Bad the movie took them two years to watch, study, edit, cut and then stitch the footage together to give it a story that follows in conjunction with the 5 seasons and 62 episodes of the series without ever letting you know that this is stitched together. I mean if you are a die-hard Breaking Bad, then chances are you’ve already seen all the episodes at least a few times, but if you haven’t and you can’t be bothered with the labor of sitting down and watching all 5 seasons, this 2-hour movie is perfect for you.

As per Lucas and Gaylor, “It’s not a fan-film, hitting the highlights of a show in a home-made homage, but rather a re-imagining of the underlying concept itself, lending itself to full feature-length treatment. An alternative ‘Breaking Bad,’ to be viewed with fresh eyes.”

Yes, this isn’t going to appeal you with episodic storytelling and suspense that was created at the end of every episode building the tension towards the start of the next one, but for someone who’d really want to get the story of Walter White becoming a drug kingpin from a cancer-stricken high school teacher in just two hours, this is your best bet.

Unfortunately, Vimeo took the video down citing copyright concerns, however, here’s a link that should work just fine for you. Click here to watch Breaking Bad The Movie.

Thata because majority of the world is outside Europe, North America and Australia. These places just make 20% of the world’s population.

Yup! But word of mouth publicity about some of these popular shows does account for viewership in the rest of the 80% of the world. I mean, I love watching the European and North American shows (not to mention the immense popularity of Hollywood movies) more than what we have been offered here in India.
